About Me
- Mr. Phillips
- I have been teaching at SPCC since 2004. I love interacting with students everyday and working with my peers. I also love playing and coaching basketball, playing baseball, and golfing. I love being spontaneous and riding the wave of life where it takes me. I am also very proud to have the best wife, duaghter, and a brand new edition on the way in September. My parents are a driving force in who I have become and throughout my life I have had the best friends around me who love me for who I am. God has guided me in many ways that have turned into miracles.

Habit Project Day 12 Monday May 26th
Last day of the project and I am curious to see how many people will continue their lifestyle after today! Remember 28 days to create a habit and we are only at 12. It is suppose to be 80 degrees today so get outside if you can, be active, enjoy life, and get all the work you need to done if it isn't already. I am going to run today and then I am off to another friends house! I am blessed! Can't wait to see you all tomorrow! Also remember all the troops who have committed the ultimate sacrifice so we can live how we day on this Memorial Day. We are all blessed!
Habit Project Day 11 Sunday May 25th
What a busy weekend. It's so different going places with a little baby that has to come with you. I woke up at 6 am and went golfing at Kettle Brook Country Club in Paxton with my buddy and his father in law and brother in law. This was my workout for the day unfortunately. My friend wore a fit bit while playing and realized that firing the round he took 15000 steps. I could only imagine how many it would have been if we didn't take a cart. They say 10000 steps is the goal for a day but it still not the same as doing a hard cardio workout. So I headed out to my parents for a cookout that they won at spcc's auction and it was a lot of fun! Mrs. Kursonis was the cook and she does a great job! I am hey that the unofficial start of summer is here. Hope your weekend is going well too!
Habit Project Day 10 Saturday May 24th
Had a great day and literally snuck my workout in! Had a birthday party today at 2 so I had to get up, take care of Lilly, and head to woman's to grocery shop before hand. Well, life happens and my wife's car is leaking fluid so we had go bring it to the garage and done to one car we were. This took up a bunch of time I thought I had and wegmans became a little quicker process. Got home unpacked the griceries and said I have to get a workout in for the project so I did what I thought was a quick one...it turned out to be tough one. Anyways did it and enjoyed the rest of the day!
Side note, I am pretty sure most people forgot out the blog which night mean their habit. This worries me because their grade will suffer and this is a huge part if your fourth quarter grade. Again I hope everyone is enjoying their days off but I hope you continue to realize that even on days off you can work to be better!
Habit Project Day 9 Friday May 23rd
Back to the weekend! I heard you guys did great today at the court house! I hope it was a memorable and educational experience, and you only visit there if you become cops or lawyers, haha! More free time lies ahead for the wrap up of this project! If you can keep your habit away for a three day weekend that is known for cookout, then you have a great chance of keeping away long into the future! Good luck, enjoy, and see you Tuesday.
P.s. Don't forget, the project ends on Monday so you need to post tonight, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. I will put up blogs for each day!

Habit Project Day 7 Wednesday May 21st
Half way home through this project which I hope know you are coming to the realization that even though you are only 13 or 14 years old, you have a very set routine. It is amazing how we can become addicted to almost anything as people and how hard it is to get the brain to reverse the pattern! I can't wait to continue my habit tonight and continue working out because I feel great both physically and mentally about myself right now because of my hard work!

Habit Project Day 6 Tuesday May 20th
Remember to keep working hard and be truthful in your blogs! Some of you have gone 6 days without a daily routine now and all you you are having different experiences trying to kick your habit. It is amazing how set our normal routine is whether the things that fill it are good, bad, or indifferent.

Habit Project Day 5 Monday May 19th
Hope everyone had a great weekend. Just a note, I commented on each person's post from Day two of the project so feel free to go back and read it if you have not already. Now that the weekend is done, we have the structure of the school week upon us. This can be beneficial with some habits because there is less free time but harder with some habits because school takes up a large portion of the day. Either way, keep a positive outlook, and be determined to get better today!

Habit Project Day 4 Sunday May 18th
Remember everyone, each day is a different day when trying to change your ways. How you feel one day but be completely different the next. Don't hold back when writing your journals. Being truthful with yourself is the most important thing in life anyways and unfortunately sometimes we lie to ourselves more often then not.
Habit Project Day 3 Project Saturday May 17th
Weekends are different and sometimes tougher because we have more free time to navigate through. Stay discipline and use positive and more importantly effect strategies to stay on track!
Habit Project Day 2 Friday May 16th
Well the first day is behind us but giving up a habit usually gets harder before it gets easier. Keep that positive attitude you started with and use each other and your home support system to keep you on track. Have fun using the blogger and post what you did today, your feelings, emotions, bumps in the road, strategies, or anything else that applies to the project. Good Luck and have a great weekend!

And away we go! Let's kick some bad habits!
Giving up a habit definitely is one of the hardest things in life to do but it is much easier with a positive support system. I sure hope this group will be exactly that. I am excited to get back into a consistent workout schedule and plan on starting so in the next hour. I hope your first day is going well and hope this project leads to a lifestyle change that will affect you positively for years to come!
